But do not imagine that I have stopped thinking!
I am doing what I will be advising the world to do: stop thinking and think again. In other words; slow down. You’re a human, not a computer and it’s not a race.
In spite of my aching head, I am musing some more on our tricky relationship with words, stories and myth. It seems I’m not alone. Plenty of other talking heads are scratching theirs and pondering the word wars. In particular I am going to take a closer look at what Yuval Noah Harari has to say about stories and why he shouldn’t say another word, especially to children. And why writing is such a dangerous enterprise, for authors as well as readers. If you’re interested in being safe, you should just quit now.
More is coming on the weekend, I promise.
