Thank you, Monika, for your powerful description of all those terrible malfunctions regarding Corona politics and their impact on private life. Things are just the same in Germany, with politicians sticking to outdated restrictions and people constantly being so scared that they follow them sheepishly, without thinking for themselves. Denmark and Sweden, neighbours of us, seem to be much more relaxed, handling that challenge way more intelligently than our politicians.

Especially the Brits! After endless dithering, they have finally decided NOT to implement a 'Vaccine Passport, after all. For now. Oddly enough, there was scant mention in our press here; they are celebrating the fact that as of today in British Columbia, only the vaccinated have full citizenship. Whatever happened to all that talk about sacred 'inclusiveness'?? I guess it meant squat. And I can't look after my health by going swimming. We need to talk about Health, and that's my next post. Thanks for paying attention, Lore.

Yes this is probably the new normal. I'm immune compromised and only 57 years old and plan to live as long as you have. Odds are if I catch Covid I will die. This is not my option. Hey Kim, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. We are not statistics, are we. Everyone of us is an individual and our individual rights and needs must be respected or we are heading towards a future so bleak that today will look like paradise in hindsight. I wish you well!

I think that we do need to be thoughtful with our friends and family. Science has brought us to this tie by solving how to control mumps, measles, polio, control HIV, etc. Sometimes we need to have faith that science is going to help us out of this pandemic. The human race is hurting around the globe with pandemic and it is not over yet. I think each one of us needs to look after ourselves. My world has become very small but technology has allowed me to speak to all sorts of family, friends and even strangers that I would never have had time for before. It is good to smell the roses and be thankful for what we have. I really have no need to sit in the local pub with tipsy strangers...been there done that. Need a new outlook on life. I take each day as if it is my last. We have only been promised this breathe I take at this moment and nothing more. Enjoy the sunset!
