Great piece, I’ve linked it to my latest…though you went a wee bit easier on Oster than I did. It’s good to see how poorly this Atlantic drivel has played out online. Agree with Vincent.

I hear you! It's going to take some real contrition from the people who orchestrated this pandemic catastrophe before we can heal and move on. Maybe build a society worth living in? I hope I live long enough to witness that...thanks for writing, Frank.

Yeah, I did that for a reason which is that we really should tone down the outrage, even if it is justified. She really isn't the bad person here; it's our dear Leaders! She is just kind of unintelligent...which is often the case with Ph.D's...

But thank you for linking my piece!

You are correct, and I think the current discussion is about the carte blanche argument ...we're not buying that one. But we still have to come to some kind of place where we agree on the basics and where genuine contrition as well as genuine forgiveness are possible ...and we are a long way from that place.

I couldn't agree more and would love to express my outright outrage... The three wonderful ladies linked below, however, express my sentiments so well, I have nothing more to add.

I too was outraged when I saw this article, but then, what do you expect from a far-left POS rag like The Atlantic? On the subject of forgiving, and giving everybody carte blanche because the perception is that they were only acting with good intentions is a spurious, and ultimately self-serving argument which was trotted out after the US wars of aggression in 2001 and 2003 to give a free pass to people who, if they were from another country, would have been hanged for war crimes. As long as we capitulate to the managerial class which bears most of the blame for this crapshow, genuine contrition or forgiveness is just a pipe dream.
